Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island

Surrounded by a coral reef and tranquil lagoon in the outer islands of the Seychelles, Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island is an intimate private-island retreat where refined hospitality is closely connected to the natural world. Migratory seabirds, green and hawksbill turtles and rich marine life share this remote sandy cay, creating an atmosphere of rare seclusion.

The resort comprises 50 spacious seafront villas with one to three bedrooms, alongside an expansive five-bedroom residence set within private gardens. Each villa has its own pool and personal concierge service. Architecture inspired by the faceted shell of the hawksbill turtle creates airy, fan-shaped interiors, while the villas are positioned away from the shoreline to leave nesting areas undisturbed.

Six restaurants and bars combine local ingredients with international creativity. Maison Des Epices presents Creole-Latin fusion cuisine, while La Perle evolves from a health-conscious breakfast venue into an elegant Mediterranean restaurant. Peacock Terrace serves teas, infusions and pastries, Lalin specialises in artistic evening cocktails, and Torti offers sushi and customisable bento selections beside the pool and beach. Private reef lunches, garden tours and cooking classes add further variety.

Something especially distinctive is the resort’s conservation-led island experience. A resident marine biologist and Environment Manager guide coral planting and wildlife activities, while a solar farm powers most resort operations and the garden supplies much of its fresh produce.

The Waldorf Astoria Spa offers hydrotherapy, sauna and steam facilities, complemented by yoga, meditation and Technogym fitness. Diving, kitesurfing, fly-fishing, kayaking, whale and dolphin safaris and stargazing invite discovery. Sea Scouts Kids Club and Marine Mavericks Teens Club connect younger guests with marine conservation through thoughtful, age-appropriate activities.
