Ratxó Retreat Hotel, a Meliá Collection Hotel

Hidden in the UNESCO-listed Serra de Tramuntana, Finca Ratxó Meliá Collection is a peaceful five-star retreat surrounded by rocky mountains, Mediterranean forest and more than 2.6 million m² of private estate. Just 16.5 kilometres from Palma, this adults-oriented hotel welcomes guests aged 14 and above, offering a serene alternative to Mallorca’s coastal resorts.

Traditional stone architecture, exposed wooden beams and natural materials give its rooms and suites an authentic Mallorcan character. Private terraces open towards gardens and mountains, while selected suites feature generous living spaces, Jacuzzis and private pools. The Royal Suite is particularly secluded, with three terraces, two bathrooms and its own pool amid the landscape.

Dining follows a garden-to-table philosophy. Olive oil, citrus fruits, vegetables and aromatic herbs are grown on the estate and incorporated into fresh Mediterranean cuisine. Guests can enjoy creative dishes at Roots, mountain views from Arratxa’s outdoor terrace and cocktails prepared with local spirits, Mallorcan herbs and estate-grown juniper at Ginebró Bar.

The Natural Spa provides a heated pool, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, sensory showers and treatments offered indoors or in the open air. A freshwater outdoor pool, gym, sunrise yoga and hiking through the Tramuntana landscape complete the wellbeing experience.

What makes Finca Ratxó especially distinctive is its deep connection with rural Mallorca. Private sailing aboard a Riva yacht, traditional craft workshops, vineyard visits and encounters with local beekeeping culture invite guests to explore the island beyond its beaches. Intimate and naturally elegant, it is an exceptional choice for restorative escapes, romantic stays and unhurried Mediterranean living.
