LUX* Le Morne

Set between a white-sand beach and the dramatic slopes of Le Morne mountain, LUX* Le Morne is a serene five-star retreat on Mauritius’ wild west coast. Sheltered by tropical gardens and facing the island’s celebrated sunsets, the resort combines mindful luxury with the relaxed rhythm of beachfront living.

Rooms and suites are designed in a fresh, natural palette, with crisp linen, woven rugs, white shutters and furnished terraces or balconies. Ocean and Sunset Junior Suites place guests close to the shore, while Prestige and Le Morne Junior Suites feature outdoor showers and private sunbeds. Spacious interconnecting Family Suites provide elegant accommodation for families and friends travelling together.

Dining ranges from refined speciality concepts to relaxed seaside favourites. KAWAII is an intimate eight-seat Japanese omakase restaurant, while EAST presents expressive Thai cuisine. The Beach celebrates Mediterranean flavours beside the ocean, and The Kitchen offers varied international menus. Maison LUX* serves coffee, pastries and aperitifs, while ICI creates artisanal ice cream and Keen on Green introduces thoughtfully sourced plant-based dishes.

Something particularly special is the wooden Tree House by the sea. Hidden among the branches, it provides an enchanting setting for private breakfast, dining or a Cinema Paradiso evening. The candlelit beach dinner, surrounded by 500 candles, offers another memorable experience.

Five swimming pools, LUX* ME Spa, tennis and the Little Travellers programme complement days of relaxation. Guests can snorkel, kayak, paddleboard, join catamaran cruises or arrange seasonal whale watching and private encounters with wild dolphins. With its mountain backdrop, beautiful lagoon and golden evening light, LUX* Le Morne offers an elegant escape for romantic journeys and sophisticated family holidays.
