La Maison Bleue

On the serene shores of Mangroovy Beach, La Maison Bleue is an enchanting adults-only hideaway unlike anywhere else in El Gouna. Inspired by St Mark’s Basilica in Venice and imagined as the residence of a sophisticated 19th-century Levantine merchant, its powder-blue façade conceals an extraordinary fusion of Italian, Turkish, Syrian and North African influences.

The mansion is surrounded by gardens created by celebrated French landscape designer Louis Benech and houses only 13 individually designed suites. Each is remarkably spacious—some extending to 120 square metres—and adorned with soaring ceilings, graceful arches, chandeliers, original artwork and hand-selected antiques. Private balconies and terraces overlook the Red Sea, lagoon, gardens or distant Eastern Desert mountains, while Beach Front Suites provide direct access to the private lagoon.

Dining follows the hotel’s wonderfully unhurried philosophy. At Le Restaurant, international and Oriental dishes are prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients and may be enjoyed at any time—in the Art Deco dining room, on a shaded lagoon terrace or privately in the suite. The elegant Pool Bar serves Egyptian mezze, tapas and handcrafted cocktails beside the water.

A heated infinity pool and private beach surrounding a tranquil swimming lagoon invite peaceful days in the sun. The intimate spa offers two treatment rooms, a hammam with a heated marble slab, sauna, steam bath, hot and cold plunge pools and treatments beside the beach. Secluded yet close to El Gouna’s marinas and lively social scene, La Maison Bleue is a deeply romantic choice for couples, honeymoons and travellers drawn to art, design and the rare pleasure of having nowhere they need to be.
