Keemala

Hidden beneath the rainforest canopy on a peaceful hillside above Kamala Village and the Andaman Sea, Keemala is an imaginative retreat where nature, design and holistic wellbeing form an enchanting world of their own. The resort feels secluded from Phuket’s livelier rhythm, yet remains within easy reach of Kamala Beach and the island’s cultural and coastal attractions.

Winding jungle pathways connect a remarkable collection of private-pool accommodation. Clay Pool Cottages, Tent Pool Villas, elevated Tree Pool Houses and sculptural Bird’s Nest Pool Villas each express a different architectural identity. Their design is inspired by the story of four fictional Phuket clans, whose beliefs, traditions and ways of living influence the resort’s interiors, cuisine, wellness philosophy and experiences.

Mala Restaurant presents Southern Thai, Western, Indian and health-conscious cuisine, prepared with seasonal organic ingredients harvested from Keemala’s Enchanted Garden. Guests may also enjoy destination dining, private meals in their villa or hands-on sessions at the Culinary Academy, where local herbs and tropical produce become part of the experience.

Wellbeing is central to the resort’s character. Mala Spa draws upon the elements of ocean, earth, fire, air and ether, blending ancient traditions with personalised rituals. Eight treatment rooms, holistic retreats, yoga, meditation, a fitness centre, sauna, steam facilities and an ozone-filtered pool invite guests to restore body and mind.

Keemala’s distinctive allure lies in its ability to transform a stay into a story. Organic architecture, rainforest seclusion and imaginative cultural details create a deeply romantic sanctuary for couples, honeymooners and travellers seeking a more soulful and unconventional expression of Phuket luxury.
