Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan

Suspended above the treetops in the lush Ayung River Valley, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan offers a serene retreat in the cultural heart of Ubud. Arrival across a dramatic suspension bridge leads to the resort’s distinctive rice bowl–shaped rooftop, from which pathways descend through gardens towards the sacred river.

Suites and private-pool villas blend refined Balinese design with carved wood, traditional ikat fabrics and generous indoor-outdoor living spaces. Accommodation ranges from romantic one-bedroom villas to spacious family options and the art-filled three-bedroom Royal Villa. Selected villas overlook the river, with private pools and meditation areas accompanied by the sound of flowing water.

Dining celebrates both Indonesian and international flavours. Ayung Terrace presents dishes from across the archipelago above the jungle canopy, while Riverside serves Mediterranean cuisine beside the river. Jati Bar is an elegant setting for afternoon tea, and Sokasi hosts cooking classes and an intimate chef’s-table experience inspired by traditional Balinese recipes.

The Sacred River Spa draws on local healing rituals and the energy of the Ayung, complemented by yoga, meditation, chakra balancing and private night-spa ceremonies. Guests may join rice planting, rafting, village cycling, temple journeys and Balinese art classes.

Families are welcomed with dedicated suites, babysitting and the complimentary Pici Pici Club for ages 4–12, offering crafts, cultural activities, sports and a jungle rice-barn treehouse. What makes the resort truly distinctive is its remarkable architecture and immersion in the landscape, creating a graceful balance of romance, wellness, culture and family discovery.
