Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul

Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul occupies a singular place beside the Bosphorus: the only Ottoman imperial palace and five-star hotel directly on the strait. Its heritage reaches back to the 17th century, while the present palace, completed in 1871, brings Eastern and Western influences together in one of Istanbul’s landmarks. Following a meticulous restoration, it reopened under Kempinski management in 1991.

The hotel offers 317 redesigned rooms and suites, including 11 private suites within the palace. Ottoman-inspired interiors, marble bathrooms and balconies frame views across the Bosphorus, the historic peninsula or Yıldız Park. Selected palace suites include 24-hour butler service; the celebrated Sultan Suite is among the largest suites in Europe and looks across the water through soaring sash windows.

Dining is woven into the sense of place. Michelin Guide-recommended Tuğra presents Ottoman and Turkish cuisine inspired by recipes researched in palace archives, served amid marble columns and magnificent Bosphorus views. Bellini, Rüya İstanbul, Gazebo and Le Fumoir add settings for elegant meals and evenings. Sanitas Spa offers a traditional hammam, massages and restorative treatments, while the heated outdoor infinity pool appears to meet the Bosphorus itself. Grand yet deeply connected to Istanbul, Çırağan Palace is more than a hotel: it is an opportunity to inhabit the city’s imperial history, surrounded by contemporary comfort and legendary Turkish hospitality.
