Belmond La Residencia

Find tranquillity in the shade of the Tramuntana Mountains. Sheltered by green peaks on Mallorca’s peaceful north-west coast, La Residencia is an intimate retreat on the edge of Deià, the island’s celebrated artists’ village. Its twin manor houses and award-winning spa rest within lush gardens of olive and citrus trees, creating an atmosphere of privacy, beauty and authentic Mallorcan character.

The hotel offers 66 individually designed rooms and suites, together with a private villa. Interiors blend traditional antiques, local craftsmanship and original artworks, while selected suites feature a full-size private pool or secluded plunge pool.

Dining reflects the flavours and creative spirit of Mallorca. El Olivo occupies a historic olive mill, while Restaurante Miró serves tapas surrounded by 33 original works by Joan Miró. Tramuntana Grill offers relaxed poolside dining, and breakfast at Son Fony is accompanied by views over the gardens and mountains. Private dinners can also be arranged at the Mirador among ancient olive trees.

Guests may unwind in the spa, heated indoor pool, sauna and Jacuzzi, or enjoy two outdoor pools, a gym and scenic tennis courts. Art classes, pottery and sculpture workshops celebrate Deià’s creative heritage, while Vespa excursions, mountain walks and donkey trails reveal the surrounding landscape. For a particularly memorable experience, the hotel can prepare a picnic carried by one of its resident donkeys to the ancient terraces, where guests can enjoy a Mallorcan feast with panoramic views.

A supervised children’s club offers pottery, cooking, tennis and donkey activities, making La Residencia equally inviting for families, couples and culturally curious travellers.
