1881 Tenerife Madrigueras Golf Hotel

Set beside Golf Las Américas in southern Tenerife, 1881 Tenerife Madrigueras Golf Hotel is a serene five-star retreat exclusively for adults. With direct access to one of the Canary Islands’ most recognised courses, it places golf, privacy and unhurried island living at the centre of the experience, while the beaches and promenade of Playa de las Américas remain within easy reach.

The hotel has just 57 rooms and suites, many overlooking the fairways or pool. Interiors are elegant and restful, with generous terraces and 24-hour room service. A complimentary GPS-equipped buggy is provided with each room, making movement between the hotel and course effortless. The Hole in One Suite offers a private entrance directly onto the fourth green, while the two-bedroom Royal Suite provides space for up to four guests.

Between rounds, the outdoor pool lies among gardens and palms, framed by colonial-style loungers and a quiet atmosphere. The spa continues this slower rhythm with a heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, contrast circuit, gym and treatment rooms. Bogey serves breakfast and dinner in an elegant setting, while Belle Vue offers Mediterranean-inspired lunches. As evening arrives, the English-style Piano Bar & Lounge opens onto its terrace for a relaxed drink. Only 15 minutes from Tenerife South Airport, this intimate hotel is an inspired choice for couples and golfers seeking warm weather, attentive service and a peaceful alternative to the island’s larger resorts.
